Los Angeles awakes on April Fools Day to the Mother of All April Fools Jokes! Pirate Radio is broadcasting LIVE in Southern California on 106.7 FM. Shannon in the Morning, Shadow Steele, MJ Kelli, and others have long time KROQ listeners turned upside down. Instead of the ROQ's usual alternative fare, the Pirate Crew has brought out the famed "Big Dogs" and is telling Los Angeles to "Move Over Rover". It's hair band rock and roll time again! Joan Jett tells Pirate listeners "Let's Kick Some Ass!"

For 48 hours on April Fool's Weekend, it's Pirate Music, Pirate IDs, and Pirate Jocks. Shadow tells Southern California, "Pirate Radio LIVES on 106.7!" A few minutes later, he says "If you close your eyes forever, you can imagine it's 1989 all over again" and launches into Lita Ford's "Close Your Eyes".

For one last, way too short time that spring of 1994, it was heaven and anarchy all over again.
